Karl is literally the laziest “person” I have ever known (and that’s saying something):

So, I just called Karl (ka3rcs), and requested that he do a telnet login to Worldmoo (where we both have accounts).  That way, we could have “chit-chat” (because I am actually somewhat stressed right now, but don’t particularly relish the idea of watching a flick, or endless amounts of uninformative “news”, or suchlike).

The advantage that him login into the MOO would have been that this would have allowed us to keep the phone clear.

His response was….fucking predictable:

  1. “But, that would involve me firing up a computer”.
  2. “I guess I could do it from this phone, but it would be ‘painful'”.
  3. “I want to eventually get around to having a desktop/laptop system readily available….”
  4. “Why are you concerned about keeping the phone clear? That’s what ‘call waiting’ is for!”

In other words: Karl is either too lazy (or too inept) to be able to have a desktop/laptop system set up – despite the fact that his trailer is crammed floor-to-ceiling with boxes/rubbermaid tubs of that sort of thing – to the point where (by his own admission) he can just barely manage to cram himself into his own kitchen to prepare his Wal-Mart hot-dogs.

Either that, or he was simply being his usual asinine self.
